I’m using the news aggregator (Pluck) every day now. And I’m fine tuning it as I go, adding RSS feeds easily and removing the duplicates whenever I see them. I only wish I had tried this service earlier. I can already see that by careful planning, you can do away with newspapers and “Talking Heads” television news. Is this the future? I think it is, as the smallest news service or blogger can provide RSS feeds right now. Even very local news should soon be available. For instance, I added Orland weather to my feeds and it’s updated every few hours without my doing anything to retrieve it. I used a My Yahoo page for many years to obtain my customized news, but now I find that I don’t need to visit that page anymore; the news comes to me. But…of course you have to be a “news junkie”, like me, to enjoy it.
