State urged to embrace the tiniest science

Nanotechnology
Are you looking for a GOOD project to spend your tax money on? This is it! Although I'm sure that Grover Norquist and the Flat Earth Society will be against it.

  1. And why not? You have heard of the Frankenstein affect of technology haven't you? One of the most liberal, progressive teachers I ever had (and my best and favorite), Dutch Souder, did a pretty good job convincing me that technology is both good and bad, sometimes very bad and little good.

There was an excellent episode on the Outer Limits involving nanotechnology. It made a very good illustration of the Frankenstein affect.

All the while we roll right on down the road to Christ return...

  2. Hello? And that's why we need to spend the time and money to study it. We get absolutely nothing from calling it names.

Outer Limits? And their credentials are?

  3. "And their credentials are?"

It's on the talking box in my livin' room ain't it.

I'm not opposed to nanotechnology, I do understand why some people are against it or atleast the public funding of it. Some people are afraid it is going to be used for war, some people are against it based on religious grounds. Others just beleive there are better more promising ways to spend money. I am pretty tolerant of the interest of others. Maybe that is what seperates me from these mean, hateful conservatives I always hear about (but for some reason have never met).

  4. Being opposed to nanotechnology is like being opposed to weather.
