Ars gratis

Another day, a Saturday to be exact. And I’m awake after a very restless night. I think it must be because of the race today; as my dreams were all race related. I don’t know why this race would cause any anxiety, as it’s just another ½ marathon, 13+ miles and I’ve done that plenty of times before. My goal is to finish in 2:45 (12.7 minute/miles) and with any luck at all, I should be able to get close to that.

There’s not a lot of news this morning and I suppose that’s a good thing. Even the weather is less than news-worthy; cloudy and no rain till later tonight.

We went to the First Annual Orland Artists show last night to see a hanging of Laurae’s work. There weren’t a lot of artists represented, but there were some quality works there. Laurae’s art showed very well against even the best that Orland had to offer. I was going to take a photograph, but the small room was crowded with wine and cheese lovers…just like a “real” gallery! The room was probably 12’x12’ and there were at least a dozen people in there, all talking and sipping. We didn’t stay very long! If she doesn’t sell the two paintings, I will photograph them and post them here.
