Daily

The news is filled with the usual bad stuff…World War III continues to grow in size and impact. The Taliban have returned to Afghanistan (did they ever leave?) and troops are dying daily once again. Gunfire was reported in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. Civilians continue to die in Darfur while politicians dither. All of this is part of a world wide war; WW III. But for the majority of Americans, none of it is real. It’s simply images on the screen and a droning noise from the talking heads on the TV. And if it does get through to the occasional viewer that these are real people that are really dying, there is always Lunesta…to help you sleep. It’s probably the drug of choice at the White House.

All of this brings me to something I read this morning…
