Have some Danish

Too warm! (Am I never satisfied?) The wood I fueled the stove with last night has kept the house at 74°. And that doesn’t make for comfortable sleeping. But…it makes the cat happy!

I have started out the day in my usual manner, looking for images on-line. I have been inserting these into my various journals and adding them to a large and growing collection on my ‘stand alone’ hard drive. In one of my earlier journals I had made a reference to Thompson Peak and I wanted to see if I could find a picture of it on-line. That led me to Tim Purdy’s website where I found a great photo of Thompson Peak and some links to other image collections. And one of those collections was local; the Meriam Library Collection at CSU Chico. Now it looks like I have lots of images to add to my collection.

But…my search doesn’t seem to have stopped at the library. I also wanted to add a good picture of our 1974 Oldsmobile Toronado to my earliest journal, so I searched for an image via Picsearch and found a great site, All-American Dream Cars. But it is all in Danish! There is an English/Danish selection link, so it looks like I have lots of collecting to do this morning. Oops! I found a dead link, so try this one for a workaround. Yes, I know, it’s in Danish, but the photos can be understood.

The car? Well ours was yellow; a very light yellow with brown leather interior. And it used to get 8 mpg with that big 454 CI engine.

No...our Toronado had brown leather. White leather with 3 kids?

You were great kids, but...even I was not ready for white leather.
