Slow morning

The week is at a close…or is Sunday a beginning? Both calendars types are available but I’m one of those that believe Sunday is the end of the week.

The sky is turning to silver in the east and I see clouds with bands of clear sky in between. A good sign, as I need clear weather for just an hour or so today while I cut some of the olive wood into woodstove sized lengths. I’ve been able to take some of the wet wood from the wood pile and stand it on end in the garage, letting the water evaporate enough to make it burnable. When the stove is hot enough, even fairly wet wood will burn after a few minutes.

Found… a quote I like.

“The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget.”
- Thomas Szasz

And the morning progresses. I have done my anti-aging exercise, the JigZone.com 80 piece daily puzzle. As long as I can solve it faster than the average, I figure I’m OK. And this morning I was a full minute faster.

The news? Forget it. It looks like it will be a gloomy day anyway, there’s no sense in making it worse.
