Connected

OK, I have a connection again. Not the best, but it will have to do. And now I can see that the news hasn’t improved over night. With the election of Sarkozy in France, the EU won’t even consider Turkey for membership and that’s a bad thing. Europe is returning to a medieval mindset; digging the moats a little deeper and wider and hauling up the drawbridges. Turkey has the second largest army in NATO, behind America, and to exclude them from EU membership is a slap in their face.

And if you pay attention to the headlines, you will see that refugees are becoming the norm. It will be interesting to see how the world reacts as climate change forces people off their native lands. Bangladesh lies at sea level and any rising of the oceans level will force millions into India and China. More moats! More fences!
