Stormy

Bang! Crash! The skies unloaded on us to the accompaniment of thunder and lightning. Quite a storm rolled through and just before I was about to start my mowing of the orchard. Well, I can scratch that chore till much later today. The rain lasted a good half hour and it was heavy almost all of that time; thundering down on the patio cover. When it let up a little, we went into Orland on a library run for more books to read. On the way back, I asked Laurae to take some photos from the truck as we got closer to home. They turned out good enough, considering the fact that I was going 55...

Good pictures Laurae. Your cooler weather arrived here today. It went from a high of 111 yesterday to a predicted paltry 95 today! A couple of days reprieve.

  2. That was a fun storm - we had some great window-shaking thunder.

  3. Great fotos of Cumulonimbus clouds (Cb)!! These are my favourites. Although I am from Greece, do not hesitate to ask for a weather prediction at my e-mail. I'm an amatuer meteorologist..

  4. Thanks for the kind words.

I have a feeling that you're quite a bit better than an amateur...so, what's the forecast for Athens today?
