Trees are forever?

I had a lot of fun with Zillow yesterday; bringing back lots of memories. I was a little bit surprised to see how much our first house had appreciated in value. And looking at the aerial view didn’t show a lot of change from the passage of years. The place looked the same, although there were some trees missing. Funny; when we planted them, we assumed they would be there forever. Much like we assumed that we would be…

Indolent. Usually a good word to describe Boo, the cat. But things are changing. She wanted to come in this morning and now she wants to hang out with me. If I were to guess, it’s the weather that has precipitated this change in cat attitude. There is just a slight chill out there. It will still be in the low 90’s today, but the mornings are starting to cool as we get closer to fall.

Cats, of course, are incapable of love as we know it. They are simply heat seeking, fur covered, and purring machines. I imagine that they see the world through thermal, or heat seeking lenses. We are the bright orange objects on a dark green screen. The brighter we are, the more the cat ‘loves’ us. It’s true!

And on a different subject; I think it was half a year ago that I ran across Kiva and I thought at the time that they had a great idea. And I put the site down as one of my Favorites. But that was as far as I went. I didn’t sign on and I didn’t fund any loans. (Dumb!) Then I overheard the name last week and decided to look it up once more. Imagine that, they can’t find potential borrowers fast enough for the flood of lenders they have experienced! So I’m waiting.
