No time!

We watched the movie, Man of the Year, with Robin Williams. A very lightweight film! And a film released ahead of it’s time. If they were to edit it and add some ‘weight’ to it, they could have a good film to release next year.

Books, movies and newspapers. So many of them are produced for the short attention span of the American citizen. Where does that come from? I know that I suffer from it. Except…when something is done well. A great book. A classic film. An article you read and then read again to glean every possible bit of good from it.

And I’m reading a great book right now. Buda’s Wagon. It’s the history of car bombs and not a ‘how-to’ book at all. It certainly brought back memories for me as the author described the time of the ‘Colonels’ in the war for the liberation of Algeria. I read every headline story back in those days.

History. It tells you everything you need to know about today...and tomorrow.
