Storm Over

I have to find a fence contractor now. AAA called last night and will be sending me a check for the damages. It was a phone interview at 6:30 PM and I had to quickly estimate how much fence had been lost. Sixty feet is what I said; the interviewer made some quick calculations and came up with a number. Told me to expect the check and said goodbye. On to the next ‘victim’.

It wasn’t the caring scenario I had in mind. I had hopes that someone would show up to actually fix the fence. But insurance companies don’t provide ‘care’ except in their commercials. It’s X number of $’s; take it or leave it.
