Aches and pains. I’ve been suffering from them lately and too many of the elders I know have told me that it’s to be expected; after all, I’m old. Well, I’ve been to see the doctor and the health news is both good and bad. The doctor tells me that I’ve reduced my blood cholesterol levels to a point where he thinks I won’t need any drug intervention at all. Never have and hopefully never will. And he agrees with my diagnosis of Piriformis Syndrome. (That's the bad news) Now I have to see the physical therapist and soon! The pain was tremendous yesterday. Probably the worst day I’ve had so far and the ibuprofen didn’t even touch the pain. And getting into bed last night was high drama as I tried to be oh so careful not hurt myself. I didn’t even try to get out of bed in the normal manner this morning; I simply slid out and onto the floor before carefully picking myself up. Yikes! But, none of this is from aging. Piriformis Syndrome affects athletes. So there!
