Getting Hot!

We got one of those colorful flyers from AT&T yesterday, promising great television via their satellite service. All for the low price of just $55 a month for basic service. So I looked at DISH basic and it was $20. Did I miss something? OK, with DVR it was $40 and only $15 less than AT&T. But why the high prices? There’s no fuel involved in the delivery of the product and no corn is consumed in the transmission. What is the excuse for the high prices for such a poor product? Talk to me next year about it. The library is still free…

And along those same lines, I just looked at the price of Clearwire for the laptop. $50! Yikes! And once more, no good excuse for such high prices. I guess I will get myself a Hot Spot map.

Funny; the only service I’ve seen lowering its prices has been Netflix. Go figure!
