He's the author of Deer Hunting With Jesus, the book I mentioned the other day. Yes, he's sometimes profane and has a style that doesn't guarantee he will be popular in every living room, but he says things that resonate with me quite a bit. In fact, I'm going to investigate the possibility of joining the Socialist Party. No, I generally don't like political parties of any stripe...but socialism might be the exception. After all, I'm old enough to do as I please. And right after I look into the tenets of the Democratic Socialist Party, I'm thinking of joining the One Big Union, the Wobblies! Just because.
