My Views On

Political news. Senator Obama will be the Democratic candidate for president, a fact that has been apparent for quite awhile, but it’s now mathematically proven. Senator Clinton has not conceded yet, but that’s only because of the ‘backroom’ politics that have to be indulged in before we, the electorate, are given the ‘facts’.

Is that good news or bad news? I’m neutral on this because I really don’t trust the average voter. There. I said it. I don’t trust the average voter to do the right thing. We need above average voters and they are rare. Am I an elitist? Could be. If I remember Greek history correctly, average voters weren’t allowed during the infancy of democracy. But, hey…that’s just old and dusty history. And what we are about to experience during the next 5 months could also become history; important and shining history. That’s only if the candidates will stay on the high road and keep their supporters focused on the truth and not the slime of political opportunism. (Fat chance!)
