I was browsing through my journal from the year 2003. This is from 3/10/2003...
"I took the camper off and then went to Old Sacramento to meet Gordon and his son and his son’s girlfriend. We went for lunch at Mikuni’s and I had some great sushi and a little sashimi. I returned them to Old Sac and then drove home. I bought some diesel fuel on the way and found the price up to $1.91 a gallon. But that is better than gasoline, which had gone from $1.97 at 11 AM to $2.01 by 2 PM. All of this price gouging is the result of *bush’s desire for war. From what I have read, the price of gas will come close to $3 a gallon in a month or so."
Ah, the good old days!
