More odds and ends

Hail to the king. I have won the Ice Cream Crank-off Golden Scoop award for two years in a row. My winning entry was a Chocolate Mocha creation by way of Raley’s market. No, I didn’t buy it there, but I used their ingredients and their recipe was the foundation for my own. And I made the ice cream about two days earlier, giving the flavors a chance to really blossom.

A beautiful morning. I went outside to see some stars, but the moon was so full and so bright that only a few could be spotted. Then I saw a photo opportunity; clouds had covered the moon in a wonderful pattern. I went back in to get the camera, but when I returned, the clouds had moved and there was only the harsh glare of the moon to be seen.

Nice! There is a cool breeze coming in the window. Where did that come from? I actually checked the vent to see if the AC had turned on early, but no, it really was a naturally cool wind. I like it!

No news worth mentioning today. Is it just me?

Mankind have a great aversion to intellectual labor; but even supposing knowledge to be easily attainable, more people would be content to be ignorant than would take even a little trouble to acquire it.
