Thoughts

A little bit from the Reverend Warren and his ‘town hall meeting’ with the candidates. But first, we should ask - why was he doing this? He was doing it for Rick Warren, first and last. As he always does.

But I digress. “McCain refused to address the classes when it came to wealth. What constitutes being rich and so forth. Obama was very clear on that issue.” That’s what I wanted to comment on. Let me tell you, this country is all about class! Warren and McCain may not want to talk about it, but it’s a fact of life. Which is why I am so confused? Why on earth would people vote for someone who is dead set on making sure they stay in their ‘proper’ class? Someone who wants them to stay poor? But they did just that in 2004. Will they do it again?

An idle thought; is it because people want to become rich that they abandon their principles and vote for Republicans? As if that would help them achieve their goal in some strange and mysterious way?

  1. My son-in-law votes Republican because he aspires to join the rich class. I told him the rich class is conspiring to keep him out of that club.
