Odd, today is the anniversary of that terrible day in September of 2001 and yet, I never even thought of it until I read Time Goes By this morning. Why did I forget? Probably because like all historic dates, it is simply a random day in time. The date isn’t important; it’s the event. And you can memorialize an event any day of the year. In fact it might be better, certainly more meaningful, if you did. For me, public displays are simply that; displays. And for those that lost a loved one on that day, the pain goes on for 365 days a year. It would be better if we remembered them...
