What Does it Mean?

The morning sky is beautiful! It’s 6:12 according to the computer clock and although it’s still dark, I can see the silver on the horizon and there’s not a cloud in the sky. Sadly, I can’t take a photo of it. I think you need a much better camera than mine to capture the beauty of an early morn.

Speaking of photos; I missed a great photo op last night. As we were on our way to pick up Betty, we drove past an orchard that was being destroyed. Pulled up. There was large tracked Cat excavator busily plucking mature trees from the ground and laying them down in neat straight rows. The bright yellow Cat amongst the green of the trees and a backdrop of an early evening sky would have made a great photo.

It’s funny; we always thought of the trees in the orchards as being permanent. Wrong. Ever since we moved to the Planet Orland we have seen orchards come and go quite regularly. The trees age. Production falls off and the trees are ripped out and quickly replaced. Yikes! Is this a metaphor of some kind? Nah! It’s just almonds.
