Objections

Hinder Antidrug Effort in Afghanistan - NYTimes.com:

"What we need are more troops in Afghanistan because we need security, and eventually we will get a strategy," said Roger D. Carstens, a former Army Special Forces officer who now is a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security"

Eventually? Excuse me, but I thought 'strategy' would be the first thing you needed.

And one strategy that these 'fellows' always forget is that when you take away the poppy crop, you have to replace it with something else. Time and time again, promises have been made to the farmers and each time the promises have been broken. So they go right back to growing poppies.
