Aging; what an odd experience it is. Odd and interesting at the same time. We don’t pay enough attention to our bodies through the first 2/3rds of our life and then we are forced into a close relationship for the final 1/3.
Lately, I have been reading the blog of Dr. Charles, (he, of all things “tomato”…and the judge of same) and found some of his links to be quite interesting. Maybe he will know something about aging? I do know that gerontology, the medical specialty for us old folks is not the most popular field among physicians. When we were looking for a gerontologist for mom, we could only find one that I remember…and that was in the greater Sacramento Region. There were none in Roseville. Roseville was always trying to project a youthful image, so gerontologists were probably prohibited. Is that “denial”?
