Today will be a day of rest…along with some chores, of course. The woodstove is cold right now in preparation for a good cleaning. The ashes will be dumped in the garden today. And I will have to get a good supply of dry firewood stacked in the garage for the coming storm.

I went back to my Journal to see what I had written about that storm and found only this, “There was a terrible storm during the past few days, lots of wind and rain. First storm of the season and it was a killer.” Not very descriptive. I must do better this year.
