Time to vote?

The rain continues this morning. Not a hard rain, just a misting and it comes without any wind to speak of and that’s a good thing!

A bad thing in the news is the fact that the emotions of Hillary have taken on a life of their own. Certainly this can’t be the defining moment of a campaign? Please! This country has been stuck with a guy who has shown us his stupid side for 8 long years; can’t we have an election where candidates are allowed to show their human side? For only a moment?

The candidates? I’m afraid they all get my skepticism. My personal belief is that anyone who runs for the office of POTUS has to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic. And desperately in ‘need’ of power. This is why we absolutely must have a division of those powers within our government. Just look at the last seven years and you can see what happens when the legislative and judicial branches give up their responsibilities.

I did get my ballot in the mail yesterday and although I wanted to immediately vote for Richardson, I now must wait. Richardson has abandoned his quest for the presidency and I have to make a decision between Obama and Clinton. That’s going to take some time as neither one is deserving of the office. But, that’s nothing new. I could vote for Kucinich, but that’s a throw-away vote; as was the Richardson vote. Now, no matter whom I decide on, my vote could be seen as being simply historic. I wanted to vote for the first black candidate or I wanted to vote for the first woman candidate. Wrong. I really want to vote for the best candidate and it would help if it were a black woman with a 150 IQ. The perfect PC candidate!

On second thought; I'm nominating my granddaughter. All 4 of them!

  1. Hillary's emotions were a disgusting play on people's heart strings. She pleaded for people to ask the other candidates the "tough questions" and stop picking on her. I wonder if Susan B. Anthony and others who fought for women to vote (and never even lived to see the day at the polls) pleaded for people to stop picking on them. Plus, doesn't Hillary know that, historically, the black man always gets the rights first?

As I am currently sending ballots out to the voters of the county, I wonder if most people, given the choice, would simply pick their ballot by the pretty color. Lavender for Reps? Brown for Dems? Red for Peace and Freedom? You'd be surprised by the idiocy of the phone calls we have been getting... actually, you probably wouldn't. And these people are voting? I'm pretty sure some people take voting as seriously as a game of tic tac toe. Don't they realize the power they hold in their hands? Or perhaps it is I who have the simple naivety that I can make a difference...

Hmmm? Having a bad day at work? Now you know that I nominated you for the office of President, just this morning. (along with Meghan, Karlee and Abby) As a candidate, you cannot allow yourself to have emotions like that!

Regarding the idiocy of voters; you should know that I believe in a test and a license for voters. We test drivers, don't we?

    Just color me 'blue'...
