Grim report sinks stocks

A sharp decline in the service sector stuns Wall Street. The Dow plummets 370 points.

The service sector. That’s what Americans do. We used to be a part of the worldwide manufacturing sector. But no longer. We only sell things these days. ‘Would you like to Supersize that?’

OK, Switzerland, Germany and Japan. Economic world leaders. They have a healthy manufacturing base (Unionized) and their balance of payments are on the plus side. They both consume and produce. They even have better health care...but you already knew that. How do they do that? It must be magic! (Or common sense)
