My sister took some old colored slides (from the 1940's) and has scanned them. And as you can see, even as a child, I was on the 'wrong' side. At least I had a rifle. And as you can tell from the architecture, this was very early Manhattan Beach. This house fronted on Manhattan Beach Blvd. and was on a 1/2 acre of land. Today's value? Probably $10 million. Us? We were renters.
